Hi! I'm so pleased you came to visit our Library Blog. It's a very busy time at Johnson Elementary and in your Library. My Second Grade Classes have been listening to my story about the Elves and the Shoemaker. We wondered what happened to the Elves after the story, so we watched this video called The Shelf Elf. I hope all of our students and staff will help Scoob win that Golden Shelf Elf Award!

Welcome and thank you for your interest in Johnson Elementary's Library. As Library Media Specialist here at LBJ, I am honored to serve the students, staff, and families that make up the Johnson Community. While the school year comes to an end, it is one of the busiest times in the Library.  School Library books and other materials need to be collected, checked in, put on the shelves in order, and inventoried. If your family has a book or magazine from LBJ, please send it back as soon as possible. Every book, magazine, VHS or DVD, equipment, and CD must be accounted for by the last day of school. Our Library holds over 14,000 items at this time.  Inventory is also a time to repair or discard items that are out of date or too damaged to be repaired. It is a time of difficult decisions, but discarded items are offered to teachers for their classroom use.  Please stop in and say Hi if you are visiting LBJ. Family members are always welcome here in the Library.
